LIPOTEST meal is vacuum-packed and comes in powder form. After dissolving, it turns into a chocolate mousse. After consuming the mousse, the patient performs a test. The test result is assessed by a doctor, who, if the result is positive, recommends appropriate therapy or pharmacotherapy.

Indications for performing the test:

• people with heart disease
• people with hypertension
• people with diabetes
• overweight and obese people (BMI 27kg/m2)
• women in menopause
• Elderly >65
• people who smoke
• patients with metabolic syndrome
• healthy individuals who want to assess postprandial fat metabolism disorders

Contraindications

People with fasting triglyceride levels equal to or greater than 220 mg/dl.

Precautions

LIPOTEST meal is a diagnostic meal and should be consumed only and exclusively for the purpose of performing the Oral Fat Tolerance Test. The test is recommended to be performed in an outpatient setting.
